Steven Levesque possesses over 43 years of experience in large asset redevelopment and management, land use planning, community and economic development, environmental services, and business management in both the private and public sectors.

Mr. Levesque is currently the President of SHL Enterprise Solutions, an economic development management consulting firm supporting businesses and governmental organizations throughout the U.S.

From 2006 to 2021, Mr. Levesque was the Executive Director of the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority, where he led the successful revitalization of the former Naval Air Station Brunswick. At the time of his departure, the redeveloped base recorded nearly $1 billion in private and public sector investment, with over 150 business entities, and collectively employing over 2,600 people.

Mr. Levesque served as the Commissioner of the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development, where he implemented the King Administration’s economic development program. In this cabinet post, he oversaw the business development, community development, tourism, technology commercialization and trade initiatives of the State of Maine.

During his public sector career, Mr. Levesque has also served as Director of Business Development for the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development, Director of Development for the City of Lewiston, Maine, and Chief Planner for the Maine Land Use Regulation Commission. In his private sector career, Mr. Levesque has been engaged with several environmental management and community and economic development consulting firms in both California and Maine.

Mr. Levesque possesses a BA in Political Science and an MS in Environmental Studies (concentration in Urban and Regional Planning) from California State University, Fullerton.

Mr. Levesque is a native of Maine, being raised in Auburn. He is also a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Jake is also a Licensed Commercial Real Estate Agent for Magnusson Balfour.

Jake brings extensive experience with the redevelopment of the former Naval Air Station, Brunswick, and real estate to assist with SHL’s public and private sector business projects.
